FAQ for RECS SPORTS NIGHT
I. General
A. What if I am not good at sports?
No worries! You are more than welcome, even if you only want to sit and chit-chat. It is a fellowship event to have fun and make friends.
B. Where is the location of the RECS sports night?
RECS Sports night is held at MOE Evans road, 21 Evans road. Click here for the Map.
C. I don’t know anyone, so who can I contact/call once I reach there?
You can contact the sports night coordinator at the number mentioned in the brochure.
D. Can I invite my friends who are not from this church?
Of course! We are happy to get to know your friends! However, please let your friends know that this is a church event to avoid any misunderstanding.
II. Registration and Payment
A. Do I need to register?
No registration is required. Please come and join us to play sports together.
B. Do I need to make payment?
There is a fee of $2 per person. Payment can be made via:

Paynow is paid to Meidyana GRII who is the treasurer of the general bible study group. This account will be used to manage the finances of the sports night and an audit is done every half yearly to ensure correct accounting of inflow and outflow.
- Cash at the end of the event.
RECS Sports Night Coordinator will do the collection.
C. What is the payment used for?
The payment is used mostly to cover the cost of the booking of the courts. Please find the details as following (as per July 2025):

We would try our best to booked with Singaporean/PR rate, however as it depends on ballot we would also need to take the standard rate if required.
Any excess from the payment would be used for purchase of balls (basketball, volleyball, soccer ball, shuttlecocks, table tennis balls) and may be used as well for Sports Tournament prices.
III. At the Sports Night
A. What sports are available?
We would ballot for badminton, basketball (outdoor), futsal (outdoor), table tennis and volleyball court (outdoor). Court availability would be informed at least 1 week prior to the event through each bible study announcement.
B. What do I need to bring?
Please bring a water bottle, change of clothes and a small towel for personal use.
For those who would like to play badminton or table tennis, please bring your racket or table tennis bat if you have one. A limited number of table tennis bats are available for use.

C. What to take note when playing sports?
This is a fellowship and not a competition event. Get to know who you are playing with and connect with different people who you do not know. You might learn things from those with more experience and new perspectives and might even make new friends. Please kindly take note of what you say and how you behave while playing sports. Learn to embrace and forgive others. Most importantly, have fun together while playing sports.
D. What if it is raining?
As the bookings cannot be cancelled, the events would still proceed if we have indoor courts available (badminton and table tennis). Please reach out to RECS Sports Night coordinator according to your bible study group if you have more question. Or please reach out to the contact person mentioned in the brochure.
