Lesson Focus:
• Learn to be faithful to God who always keep His promise to His children.

Last week, we listened to the story of Abraham who was promised by God that he will be the father of a great nation / many people. How big is the nation – God promised that it will be as many as the stars in the sky! When God gave his promise to Abraham, Abraham was 75 years old and his wife, Sarah was 65 years old.

About 25 years later, Abraham and Sarah still did not have a son. One day, Abraham received 3 guests in his house and he welcomed them by serving them with foods and drinks. These 3 guests were actually the appeareance of God Himself. One of the guests told Abraham that, next year when I returned to your house again, your wife will have a son. That time, Sarah was already 90 years old! So, Sarah laughed because she thought that she was too old to become a mother.

But children…Sarah did have a son! Abraham and Sarah named the son, Isaac, which means “He will laugh/rejoice”. Children, you must remember that God always keep His promise because He cares for us and He knows what is the best for us.

Therefore, you must obey God and obey your parents. If your Daddy and Mommy promise you that you can eat cake if you tidy up the room, that means you must tidy up first before you can eat the cake. By tidying up the room, you can find your toys easily next time and the floor will not be dirty. So, tidying up your room is actually for your own goodness.
