• Learn that God promised to send a Savior.

Bible story:
God created the first man, Adam then Eve – his wife. They were to serve God, to take care of His creations – the animals, the plants in the beautiful Garden of Eve and to raise a family! He created everything good but when He created man, it was very good!
But, they did not obey GOD – they ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil – they became sinners and they had to leave Eden.

GOD did not leave them, He still loved them and promised that one day, GOD would send someone from Eve’s descendants to defeat Satan and to pay for Adam & Eve’s sin and the sin of all God’s people. Who would that someone be? He is Jesus Christ, who would come to the world. thousands of years later that He had to die for our sin – on the cross for all of us who believe in Him.

After they left Eden, God gave them a baby boy, Cain, then later another boy, Abel. As the children grew, Adam and Eve taught them about God, how they (Adam & Eve) had disobeyed God and how sin had come into the beautiful world that God made. They also told Cain and Abel – about God’s promise to send a Savior to save His people from their sin.

Cain became a farmer, Abel herded sheep. One day, they brought offerings to God. Cain brought some food he had grown, Abel brought the first born and the best part of his flock.
Abel gave his offering with faith, he had learnt to love and trust God and he wanted to please God. But Cain did not. God KNEW Abel and Cain’s hearts, He knows our hearts! God was pleased with Abel’s offering but not with Cain’s. Cain was so angry that God was not pleased with his offering. Cain was jealous of Abel. How about with our hearts when we bring our offerings? God still looks into our hearts, we should come to Him with a grateful heart and with faith.

God warned Cain about the danger of sin. Then Cain asked Abel to go to the field together and there Cain attacked and killed Abel. Why did Cain kill? Because he was jealous of Abel then it became hatred then he killed him.
How sad Adam and Eve must have been, they were very sorry that their sin had brought death into the world God had made. Then God sent Cain away from his parents.

Now, Abel died then Cain was away. Do you still remember what was God’s promise to Adam & Eve? That the Savior would be born of Eve’s descendants? Then now, how could that happen if they don’t have the son with them anymore?

God then gave them another son, Seth! Then from Seth, the Promised Savior would be born thousands of years later. Jesus Christ – He obeyed God the Father perfectly and took the punishment we all deserved that HE died on the cross for the sins of His people. God always keeps His promises!
