Praise Jesus, our risen Savior!

Bible story – Luke 24 : 1-12 ; 34
After Jesus died on the cross, a follower of Jesus named Joseph, from Arimathea went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. He loved Jesus, he was willing to have Jesus buried in his own family grave. Then a large stone was rolled in front of the tomb.
Early Sunday morning, the women who had followed Jesus from Galilee hurried to the tomb. When the women arrived at the tomb they saw the stone had already rolled away.
They went inside and did not find the body of Jesus. Suddenly two angels dressed in clothes as bright as lightning came and said “He is not here; he has risen!” Remember he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee; The Son of Man must be delivered to the sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” ( Luke 24 : 6-7 ). The women did remember the word of Jesus. They hurried back to the 11 disciples to tell the wonderful news that Jesus had risen as he promised. But the disciples did not believe the women.
Peter rose and ran to the tomb. He saw an amazing sight. The body of Jesus was gone. He had risen!

The Covid-19 pandemic had been spreading all around the world. Everyone may get the virus.
Can people recover from covid-19? Some people may recover after getting the virus, but some people may die from it.

When people die from the virus, can they rise again like Jesus? No! Jesus Christ is the only one who can rise from the dead because He is God. Nobody else in this world is able to do like what Jesus did.

Summary:
Rejoice that Jesus is alive! He defeated the power of death.
Jesus was a man with 2 nature :
He is 100% man, he died on the cross. But Jesus did not sin like us.
He is also 100% God, he rose from the dead on the 3rd day.
Because of his resurrection, we have the blessed hope of eternal life in Christ. Our duty now is to tell the good news to others that Jesus Christ is the living savior.

Ayat Hafalan:
